    Introduction

    Mindfulness is a particular way of paying attention with a positive mind. It is the mental process of purposefully bringing positive awareness to one’s moment to moment experience.

    Mindfulness can be applied to sensory experience, thoughts, and emotions by using sustained attention and noticing our experience without reacting. Mindfulness changes impulsive reactions to thoughtful responses.

    Mindfulness enables new, wiser responses that improve attention, learning, emotional regulation, empathy, and conflict resolution.

    Mindfulness, introduced into medicine thirty years ago has become a successful mainstream influence

    The way in which we parent is crucial as it determines:
    the heart, soul and consciousness of our youth
    their experience of meaning and connection
    their imperative life skills
    their deepest feelings about themselves, and their place in the world
